As the ways in which content is created, distributed and consumed continue to change, the synergy between traditional film and television and the digital media industry has enormous potential. With considerable strengths in both industries, including being the Canadian leader in the development and production of interactive games, BC is one of the few jurisdictions that has the corporate and production infrastructure necessary to realize this potential.

Recognizing the significant strengths that BC companies have in both film and television and interactive media, BC Film + Media has spearheaded a number of initiatives to bring together diverse companies to promote understanding and collaboration on innovative convergent media projects.

Note: The provincial government has developed the Interactive Digital Media Tax Credit to support production in this area. BC Film + Media remains committed to ensuring that BC companies prosper in this rapidly evolving sector of the entertainment industry.
